ICT Training for Bello Care Foundation Beneficiaries
Kogi State Government
- Client
- Kogi State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning
Consultancy and delivery of the ICT training component for Bello Care Foundation beneficiaries, approved by the Kogi State Executive Council in March 2023.
Challenge
Turning a beneficiary programme into practical skills
The State wanted the ICT component of its Bello Care Foundation programme delivered as hands-on training that beneficiaries could use, with delivery supervised and reported to the Ministry.
- Beneficiaries with a wide range of starting skill levels
- Training that has to be practical, not theoretical
- Delivery across communities in the State
- Clear reporting back to the Ministry
- Supervised delivery under a formal contract
Solution
A supervised, hands-on ICT training programme
We designed the curriculum, deployed trainers and equipment, ran hands-on sessions for beneficiaries, and reported progress and attendance to the Ministry throughout delivery.
- Digital literacy curriculum for beneficiaries
- Trainer recruitment and deployment
- Hands-on sessions with training equipment
- Attendance and progress tracking
- Reporting to the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning

What changed
- Practical ICT skills for programme beneficiaries
- A curriculum the State can run again
- Attendance and progress evidence for the Ministry
- Delivery under a formally supervised contract
